Idaho Botanical Gardens 10-30-10

All of these pictures were taken the day before Halloween at the Boise Botanical Gardens. you are supposed to walk through the gardens and vote on which were the best scarecrows. Local businesses made the scarecrows with a theme toward thier business. The buildings in the background is the Old Idaho State Penitentiary. The statue is Sacajawea. Don't ask what the flowers and trees are cause I don't know.

Balloons over Boise

On Sept 4th we went at 7:00Am in the morning to watch the balloons take off from Ann Morrison Park. The sun is coming up in the background and Boise is just behind the park. On some pictures you can see the capitol building. Later that day we went and watched the "Night Burn". They kept the balloons tethered to the ground, but inflated them and then when the sun was down they would fire off the burners which lighted them up. We got met at the park by all the Boise family and some from Auburn. Here is a list of names of our group.
