Trip to Dead Wood Lookout.

You know its going to be a good trip when you start it out looking at a fine old truck.

The smoke in the background is around the Sun Valley area. This looks out across the town of Lowman, Idaho

My goal was to go to the damn, But after 9 miles of dirt road and then to see it was another 16 miles I had neither the gas or time to do it on this day. Someday soon I will take the wife and dogs and go all the way to the damn.

trip up the south fork Boise river, 08-24-13

This is the Neal bridge on The South Fork of the Boise River. We have travelled about 25 miles form home and the last 5 or so have been in recently burnt land.

Danskin Bridge.

South Fork, Boise River. Blue ribbon trout stream. Burnt to a crisp. I did see trout in it though. it was closed to fishing until next weekend. This is the view from atop the Anderson Ranch Damn.
