Maple is beautiful wood. What are you going to make with the two foot stump?
I am thinking of making a metal man out of mufflers and have him stand on it and either hold a falg or a spear.

Here is the last of the big Maple Tree in our backyard. The butt of this tree is about two feet in diameter.
